Voluntary groups and charities in Erewash are being urged to apply for up to £2,000 to help fund their work ahead of this month’s closing deadline for Erewash Borough Council’s Community Grants Scheme.
Applications for the council’s latest round of funding must be submitted by 5.30pm on Tuesday 23 July.
The grants scheme gives both large and small voluntary organisations the chance to apply for funding of up to £2,000 for projects and services that benefit Erewash residents.
Over the last few years the council has helped a number of community organisations through the popular grants scheme – last year almost £42,000 was awarded to local community and voluntary groups.
Councillor Gerri Hickton, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Community Engagement, says:
“We have helped so many organisations since we launched this scheme, but we know there are many more groups out there working to help people in Erewash. There is still time to apply, so let’s hear from you – get in touch now.”
Full details of the scheme and how to apply can be found here.

Subject to funding remaining available, details of further funding rounds will be announced on the council’s website.
