Sexual Violence


Sexual violence and abuse can be defined as any behaviour perceived to be of a sexual nature which is unwanted and takes place without consent or understanding. It can affect anyone regardless of gender sexuality, religion, race or disability.

  • Sexual violence may include;
  • Rape
  • Assault
  • Inducement, threat or deception to procure sexual activity with a person with a mental disorder
  • Incest

There are lots of local and national helplines that can support you if you think this has happened to you;

SV2 offer support to anyone who is a victim of sexual violence, assault or abuse. They work to Inform, Support, Protect and Empower them.

They can also offer an opportunity for a medical without police involvement, if you have been a recent victim of rape or sexual assault.
