An inspirational former nurse is helping to champion a pioneering Erewash initiative aimed at residents with long-term health issues who would benefit from becoming more active.
A thrilled schoolgirl aged eight was presented with a brand new £350 bike by Erewash’s Mayor – for a clean air poster she designed in a contest aimed at getting drivers to switch off their engines when stationary.
More than 7,000 people have taken part in the ‘One Derbyshire, Two Councils’ survey, which asked for people’s views on options to reduce the number of local councils from ten to two – with one covering the north and one covering the south.
