Building Control
Building regulations sets standards for the construction of all types of buildings. Building regulations approval is the means by which Erewash Borough Council check that buildings in the borough are built to these standards, with the aim being to protect the health and safety of people who use the building, in the interest of the environment - conserve fuel and power, and ensure that adequate access and facilities for people are provided within certain types of buildings.
Erewash Borough Council also provides Building Control Services for Ashfield District Council, Broxtowe Borough Council and Mansfield District Council.
