Residents are being reminded that they can request a number of council services online using a My Erewash account.

Residents, businesses and landlords can register for an account - all that is needed is an email address and you can also sign in using Microsoft, Facebook or Google.

Once set up you can access a range of services including reporting a missed bin to the waste team, letting the neighbourhood wardens know about fly-tipping, and reporting a street that needs cleaning to the green space and street cleaning team. Requests for service go direct to the relevant team and residents receive updates to their requests via their online account, making contacting the council simpler, faster and friendlier.

Councillor Becca Everett, Lead Member for Community Engagement at Erewash Borough Council, says:

“We would encourage as many people as possible to sign up for a My Erewash account as it really is the quickest and easiest way to contact the council and get a response to a query. There are already thousands of people in the borough who are already using the service, meaning they can get in touch at any time of the day.”

The council’s telephone Contact Centre is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays on 0115 9072244.

New Reception Opening Hours from Monday 3 July:
  • Ilkeston Town Hall - 10am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and closed all day Wednesday.
  • Long Eaton Town Hall - 10am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Friday, and closed all day Thursday.
