Residents are being encouraged to access online council services at any time of the day where they can easily access a number of council services.

The online payments facility is where residents can pay for services including council tax; trade waste; building control payments; business rates; overpayment of Housing Benefit; bulky waste collections and blue bins.

By registering for a My Erewash account, residents can book a bulky waste collection; register a change of address; report a missed bin and seek help for other services such as council tax support. They can also access their council tax account or benefit claim, download their latest bill and check their account balance.

There are a number of other services that can be accessed online and you are also able to make council tax payments at a Post Office, at a PayPoint retailer, by setting up a direct debit or standing order with your bank or by accessing the council’s automated payments phone-line, 0115 907 2222.

Councillor Becca Everett, Lead Member for Community Engagement at Erewash Borough Council, says:

“We are seeing more and more people heading online to make payments and access council services. Most queries can now be dealt with this way, meaning people can engage with the council at any time of the day. Residents can also use a My Erewash account to advise the council if they have moved house, bought or sold a property, or to claim a Council Tax discount or exemption.”

The council’s telephone Contact Centre is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays on 0115 9072244.
