ONLY SHOWMEN WITH PREVIOUS ACCESS TO APPLY
I hereby apply for an Electricity Permit to connect up to the council’s electricity during the Ilkeston Charter Fair. I agree to the under mentioned conditions applicable to the issue of an ‘Electricity Permit’ and have received a copy of the Conditions and Regulations for this event.

ELECTRICITY REGULATIONS
All cabling, including lights, power etc. that are non-permanent installations used and controlled by the showmen will be so as to reduce the hazards from slips/trips/falls, electric shock etc.
All showman shall provide suitable and sufficient protection (e.g. cable covers) for cables to reduce the risk from slips/trips/falls, electric shock etc. All coverings will be periodally checked by yourselves in ensure their integrity.
A showman who is an appointed Zone Rep for the event will periodically check all areas; please assist were possible to ensure all is safe.
Showmen must not cover cables with tarmac or similar material.
Permits will expire at 12 noon on the Monday following the Fair by which time all Electricity connections must be disconnected and columns locked where applicable.
All forms should be submitted by 30th August 2025
