The award-winning Erewash Museum is looking for volunteers to help in the Old Stable Tearoom when it re-opens this summer. This a great opportunity to join a friendly team, become an honorary member of the Friends of Erewash Museum and see ‘behind the scenes’ at one of Erewash’s most popular visitor attractions.

Main duties will include: basic food preparation, serving food and drinks, taking payments, stock taking, cleaning, clearing tables and ensuring good food health and safety practices are maintained plus other regular duties.

Successful candidates will require: good communication skills, experience of cash handling and till work, have a team ethic and able to deal with the general public in a helpful manner. Volunteers will be required to attend training sessions, have a smart appearance, and be flexible with hours.

The tearoom will initially be open three days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with extra hours for special events. Regular hours will be between 10am and 3pm with most volunteers helping out one day a week.

We are looking for volunteers with any level of experience. This role is also suited to those looking to gain experience in the catering sector, training will be provided.
