A vikings festival is being held at Locko Park, Spondon from June 21 to 26.

Hundreds of Vikings from across the UK and elsewhere will head to Locko Park this summer for an annual festival which celebrates their heritage. The VikeFest, organised by the re-enactment society, The Vikings, takes place on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday June 26.

There will be a Viking encampment, re-enactments of battles, displays and a chance for visitors to buy Viking-style clothes, jewellery and more. People will be coming from as far afield as France, Denmark, Ireland and Canada to take part in the battle re-enactments.
