Summer is set to be a scorcher, and the fun is hotting up at Erewash Museum who have an amazing line up of exciting activities and themed weeks to keep the kids busy over the school holidays.

The excitement kicks off on Friday July 23 with a Summer Holidays Party at 11am and 1pm hosted by the popular DJ Hazza, who will be getting everyone up and dancing with his party disco in the museum gardens. You can also try your hand at one of the craft activities on offer, and have a go at the new summer trail challenge around the museum and see what you can spot along the way! The event costs £2.50 for children, free for under 2s and adults. Due to popularity early pre-booking is advised. There will be craft activities, trails and other creative fun every day this summer.

The museum itself is open with brand new exhibitions, including Hidden Gems and the new Danny Corns Gallery. Refreshments will be available to purchase in the Old Stables Tearoom and don’t forget to have a browse around the exciting new toys and merchandise in the museum gift shop.

Toilets and changing facilities will be available and hand sanitiser provided throughout the building.

  • Dinosaur Week 3 – 7 August
  • Pirates and Mermaids Week 10-14 August
  • Nature Week 17-20 August
  • Meet your local heroes day 21 August
  • Blocks and Bricks Week 24 – 28 August
