Erewash Borough Council

Household Support Fund

The household support fund (HSF) offers help to Derbyshire residents facing financial hardship by providing grants and other financial support. The fund is provided by the Department of Work and Pensions and is mainly administered by Derbyshire County Council.

Following previous allocations of HSF funding, a further grant has been made available for use in Derbyshire up to 31 March 2024.

The fund will be distributed by Derbyshire County Council in a variety of ways over the coming months.

Please visit www.derbyshire.gov.uk to find out what support may be available.

Erewash Borough Council has been allocated a share of the support fund for housing cost support and prevention of homelessness.

If you receive Housing Benefit or the Housing Element in Universal Credit you can apply for Discretionary Housing Payments using your My Erewash account.

Are you threatened with Homelessness?

Erewash Borough Council has specialist Housing Options Officers whose role is to try and get involved at an early stage to work with those people who are in housing crisis and who may be in fear of losing their home.
