Erewash Voluntary Action CVS

Erewash Small Grant Scheme  - applications can be made at any time as there are no deadlines. The scheme has three priority themes and applicants must meet at least one of the themes to be eligible to apply for an award of up to £1,500. The priority themes include: health inequalities, community wellness, building resilience. Foundation Derbyshire

Applications can be submitted at any time as there are no deadlines. Grants up to £2,500 are available, which can be used to support core running costs, equipment, resources or new ideas. £2,500. Please visit their website or call 01773 525 860.

National Lottery Community Fund

Awards for All England Applications can be submitted at any time. Voluntary, community organisations and schools, etc. across the UK can now apply for grants of up to £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund – Awards for All programme. This represents a significant increase from the previous maximum grant size of £10,000. Projects can last for up to two years. B and Q Foundation

Applications can be submitted at any time and organisations are encouraged to submit an expression of interest in the first instance. Grants up to £5,000 are available to UK registered charities for projects that improve homes and community spaces for those most in need, such as those experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, poor health, disability, or other disadvantage or distress. Covid 19 Community Fund - Derbyshire County Council

Derbyshire County Council's Public Health team recognise that a number of community and voluntary sector organisations would benefit from additional resources to continue to support those most affected by the pandemic.

The COVID-19 Community Fund aims to support voluntary and community sector organisations by providing much needed funding. This allows them to continue to play a key role in the local response to COVID-19 and to improve the health and wellbeing of Derbyshire residents.

Formally constituted and non-constituted organisations can both apply for funding until 30 June 2024.

Derbyshire County Council (DCC) Members Community Grants

The DCC members' Community Leadership Scheme allocates all 64 county councillors an annual fund of £3,860 which can be used to support projects in their Division.

Organisations seeking support under the scheme should contact their local county councillor explaining the nature of the project, the amount sought, what other funding may be available, and how it will benefit the community.

Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Community Investment Fund

This fund is administered by Foundation Derbyshire and has four main themes. Applicants must ensure their application fits at least one of the following themes:

  • Activities that help to reduce anti-social behaviour and other causes of crime within your community;
  • Activities that support vulnerable young people who are either at risk of committing crime or becoming the victims of crime;
  • Projects that promote personal and/or community safety;
  • Projects that help to improve your local community either through an activity that bring everybody in the community together or through improving the community physically (renovating a building or creating a new community space).

Type of Project costs funded:

Capital (any items of equipment) although it is unlikely to fund substantial building works;

Revenue (any non-equipment costs) including ongoing running costs for a project or group;

One off events and one-off projects;

The Fund will not consider contributing to projects costs exceeding £5,000 and the maximum grant is currently £1,000.

Closing Dates

There are no fixed closing dates, the panel only meets twice a year. Examples of grants that could be made:

£250 towards the cost of security shutters for a community village hall;

£200 for flyers, publicising a holiday activity club for children and young people;

£150 towards annual room hire charges for a young people’s music club;

£225 for publicity and insurance for a community festival;
