The countdown is now well underway for the free Festival of Funding this month – a ‘must attend'' event for all local groups and charities.
The place to be is Long Eaton Town Hall on Thursday 19 September between 10am and 1pm when there will be a whole host of information and advice on offer and the chance to meet some of the key funding organisations.
Big name funders including the Heritage Lottery Trust, Big Lottery, BBC Children in Need, Derbyshire Environmental Trust, Derbyshire Sport and the Co-operative Community Fund will all be at the festival.
Free workshops will be running during the morning, while visitors can also browse the stands to see what grants may be available for them and pick up tips on how to apply for funding.
Councillor Carol Hart, Erewash Borough Council’s Deputy Leader and Lead Member for Community Engagement, says:
“Our festival is very much a one-stop platform and will be invaluable to both established groups and new charities or organisations alike . . . and it’s free!
“It will be a welcoming festival so put the date in your diary and drop in to talk to the people that can offer support - and don’t forget to make the most of the workshops as well.”
