The Committee is made up of representatives of the following organisations, as well as two co-opted members:
The Derbyshire Historic Buildings Trust currently holds the chair of the Committee and the Derbyshire Archaeological Society holds the vice-chair. The Council's Conservation & Design Officer acts as a permanent advisor to the Committee.
CAAC's main role is to offer advice on development applications that would affect nationally or locally designated heritage assets. CAAC also assists the Borough Council in other matters, including the appraisal and management of Conservation Areas. You can read the Committee's Terms of Reference here.
CAAC meets at 2pm on the first Monday of every month at Ilkeston Town Hall. You can download minutes from the last three years' meetings below.
