Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI)

Long Eaton Conservation Areas Townscape Heritage Initiative

The Long Eaton Conservation Areas Townscape Heritage Initiative is an exciting and innovative project which seeks to revitalise Long Eaton’s historic centre through the repair, reinstatement and conservation of the town’s heritage.

The Townscape Heritage Initiative will promote and encourage investment in under-used and neglected historic buildings. This will have two benefits - by helping to retain and reinforce the local identity and distinctiveness and helping to increase investor confidence in Long Eaton’s economic vitality.

The Townscape Heritage Initiative comprises of four funding avenues from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership, Erewash Borough Council and potential match funding from target building owners. In total, the funding amounts to approximately £2.7 million.
