Children in Erewash are in for another fun filled summer with the MACCA team.

The team have planned a spectacular summer of events for children of all ages at the borough’s leisure centres and the museum and beyond. The packed programme runs from Saturday 26 July to Sunday 7 September.

Kids can get to grips with a whole host of sporting activities including extreme dodgeball, kwik cricket, a magic workshop and a variety of arts & crafts.

This summer’s MACCA scheme is sponsored by Ilkeston businesses AMF Bowling and the Scala Cinema; who will be hosting MACCA special days, where kids can enjoy a morning of ten pin bowling before catching an afternoon film.

All activities will have adult supervision and parents are advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the children of Erewash to take up an active lifestyle and have fun in the process.

“The borough has a wide variety of sporting and cultural resources on offer and I would like to thank the MACCA team for pulling together a superb range of events for this summer.”
