The Sandiacre History Group holds 4 meetings a year when there is a speaker or slide show on a topic of historical interest. Meetings are usually held at Sandiacre Methodist Church Hall on Butt Street commencing at 7.30pm. Refreshments are available from 7pm. Members pay 50p per meeting and visitors, who are always welcome, pay £2 per meeting. Annual membership costs £5 per person or £7.50 for 2 people at the same address. Members receive 2 newsletters per year. The meetings for 2008 are: Thursday 12 June - House Detectives:a talk and slide show by Adrian Henstock Thursday 18 September - AGM at 7pm followed by The Golden age of Radio by Trevor Lee Thursday 4 December - Readings from Dickens performed by members of the Dickens Fellowship.
