Ilkeston Folk Club

Meets every Wednesday night at The Stute, Hallam Fields Rd, Ilkeston

Born out of the famous White Cow Folk Club (now sadly gone), Ilkeston Folk Club is an established and friendly club always keen to see new faces and encourage new performers. We have performances or open mic nights rather than the popular sing around style found at many clubs, giving everyone the opportunity to do something, be it folk singing, contemporary music or something else. Although we call ourselves a folk club we enjoy many styles of music: a typical night might include traditional & modern folk music, blues, country music, poetry, in fact just about anything and everything. We believe that folk music is more about folk making music than the subject matter or style.
