Gambling Act Licensing Policy

The Gambling Act 2005 has imposed a statutory requirement upon local authorities to prepare a 'Statement of Principles' that are to be applied by the Council in the exercise of their licensing functions.

This statement must be reviewed by the Council every three years. The Council has carried out a review of this policy statement and published the revised policy on 3rd January 2010. The statement of principles takes effect from 31st January 2010 and will last until 2013. You will find a copy of the new statement and the consultation responses in the ‘Related Documents’ section below.

The statement is also available to view at the Civic Offices, Derby Road, Long Eaton.
