On payment of an annual licence fee we inspect and issue an annual licence for certain types of premises where animals are kept.
Before issuing a licence, a council officer may inspect the premises concerned to ensure the health and welfare of the animals is protected.
We issue licences for the following establishments and activities:-
- Animal boarding
- Pet shops
- Breeding of dogs
- Horse Riding Establishment
- Keeping of dangerous wild animals
- Zoo or circus (with performing animals).
