Location

Sandiacre Friesland Sports Centre is situated on Nursery Avenue, Sandiacre on the same site as the adjacent Friesland School. With easy access from M1 junction 25 and Derby to Nottingham A52, the Centre is also served by a regular bus service from Nottingham to Derby.

There are approximately 100 car parking spaces on the dual site. Spaces may be restricted to 25 places in the day time with full availability evenings and weekends. There are two disabled spaces located directly outside the reception area.

Access

Please note that the drive to the sports centre will be closed Monday to Friday 2.35pm to 2.55pm (term time only) to allow the school children to exit the site safely.

The centre operates a 'one way' system - entry via Nursery Avenue and exit via Rushy Lane all weekend and after 5pm weekdays.

A car park security system is in operation. Please collect a token before you leave.

Fitness suite

The gym is fully air conditioned and has a full range of cardiovascular (e.g. bikes and treadmills) and weight resistance equipment.

Please be aware that the gym is not subject to closure due to school usage as our Junior Gym is in full use.

Express/junior gym

Our Junior Gym is fully operational for educational use during the school day and is now used for circuit classes free of charge exclusively to our gym members. See workout classes for more information.

All opening times are subject to change due to special events, please contact reception for details.

The centre is closed on all Bank Holiday Mondays.

The centre closes at 6.30pm on Saturdays, last admission to all activities is one and a half hours before close.
