A wide variety of activities take place at Sandiacre Friesland Sports Centre, including: badminton, netball, football, squash, aerobics, pilates, martial arts, and much more.

Just for Kids

M.A.C.C.A

Mission: Active Children, Creative Adventure
During the Derbyshire school holidays we provide a variety of activities for children between the ages of five to 14 years. Activities will include: arts and crafts, sports, games and dance sessions.

Gym Tots

Bouncy castle, soft play fun and games to give the Under 5's with Mum or Dad the opportunity for social interaction and discovery through play.
Saturday, 9.15 to 10.45am

Children's parties

Why not let us take the stress out of organising your children's birthday party.

We offer three fun and exciting party themes for you to choose from:

Gym

For children aged four to eight years.
Includes: Soft play with bouncy castle, climbing frames and ropes.

Sports
Hire one of our halls and play the sport of your choice, for example football, netball or uni hockey.

Party room
Hire our mirrored dance studio exclusively for two hours and tailor your party to your child's needs. For example a Disco or a Magician.

Gym and Sports parties last two hours - one hour activity and one hour for party food.

You can choose from self catering or leave it to us and we'll provide a buffet including sandwiches, savouries, crisps, cakes and fruit drink. Catering is available on Saturdays only.

All relevant equipment is provided.

It is the responsibility of the hirers to provide adequate supervision by parents and helpers at all parties (one adult to every four children).

Payment for all parties must be made at time of booking.

Workout Class Descriptions

Please note, if classes become busy or fully booked we run a booking system. Members can book a week in advance and pay on the night, non-members can book a week in advance and pay on booking.

Hi/Low Aerobics
Involves hi low impact movements for the development of personal fitness and stamina followed by floor work to increase muscle tone.

Ladies Morning
This is a specialist session providing dietary advice and a variety of workout sessions covering all ages and abilities, including circuits, strengthening and toning exercises, cardio and much more!

Pilates
Combines sensory awareness with physical training; focusing specifically on the lower and deeper abdominals, the mid back muscles and the arms and legs.

Junior Weight Workout
Especially for 14 to 15 year olds. A supervised workout session in the Junior/Express Gym to tone and build strength and stamina.

Express Gym Circuits
A 30 minute unique circuit exercise class involving resistance equipment, cardiovascular machines and aerobic fitness exercise (induction required).

Body Tone
An aerobic warm up with emphasis on body toning, using weights and exercise.
