There are a wide variety of exciting facilities and activities at Rutland Sports Park.

Outdoor facilities

The outdoor facilities at Rutland Sports Park comprise of:

  • Floodlit six lane athletics track
  • Floodlit jump pits (long/triple jump) 
  • Floodlit full sized Astroturf pitch suitable for football and hockey which can also be hired by the ¼ pitch or ½ pitch
  • Bowling green
  • Cricket nets
  • Cricket pitch 
  • nine hole mature golf course
  • Indoor Tennis Centre 
  • two smaller pitches.

Indoor facilities

  • The indoor tennis centre features 3 tennis courts which can also be used for badminton, bowls, and other sports. The tennis centre also includes toilets and lockers.
  • Sports Pavilion, this includes the Rutland Wellness Centre (gym), changing facilities, toilets, showers, lift, vending services and first aid facilities - further information is available on the Rutland Wellness Centre page, click on the menu on the left. 

Facilities for people with disabilities

  • Accessible WC in all buildings
  • Designated car parking
  • Visual emergency alarm
  • Passenger lift in the Sports Pavilion
  • Showers in the Golf Pavilion and Sports Pavilion

Pewit Golf Course and Pavilion

Pewit Golf course is a challenging mature nine hole course.

You are able to pay and play at the site or alternatively season tickets are also available.

Within the golf pavilion there are a range of amenities including changing rooms, showers and toilets.

Just for Kids

M.A.C.C.A   Mission: Active Children, Creative Adventure

During the Derbyshire school holidays we provide a variety of activities for children between the ages of 5 to 14 years. Activities will include: arts and crafts, sports, games and dance sessions.

Junior Gym (11 - 16yrs)
Sunday, 10am - 12pm

You will need to have an induction in the gym before you can take part in this session.

Children's parties

Let us take the stress out of organising your child's birthday party.  We have three fun and exciting party themes to choose from:

Football Party

Includes astro turf pitch or 1 tennis court in the tennis centre. Maximum of 40 children.

Multi Sports Party

Includes astro turf pitch or 1 tennis court in the tennis centre. Maximum of 40 children.

Tennis Party

Includes three courts in the Tennis Centre.  

There is the added option of hiring our tea room for your party food; this will increase the party time to two hours (one hour party and one hour for food).

If you do not require the tea room then your party will last one hour.

Party room also available. Maximum of 25 children. Please note self catering only.

Ilkeston Rutland Cricket Club
League cricket for adults and juniors.
Between mid April and mid September, club outdoor nets are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm. Please contact us for winter details.

Amber Valley Athletics Club
Coaching and competition in track and field, cross country and sports hall athletics. We train on Tuesday 7pm - 8pm, Wednesday 7pm - 8.30pm, Thursday 7pm - 8pm and Saturday 10am - 12pm.

First session free, small training fee per session. Open to all abilities age 8+ in Amber Valley, Erewash and surrounding areas.
