...driving for success
East Midlands Housing Association and Waterloo Housing hope to build properties in the villages of Little Eaton, Stanley, Stanley Common and West Hallam for people with a connection to those villages, who cannot afford suitable accommodation in the area to meet their needs.
From August 2010, the housing associations have been working with parish councils and local landowners to identify suitable sites
A guidance leaflet has been produced to inform people in the communities about how the properties will be developed, and how they can be involved in the process. A copy of the leaflet is available in the related documents section below.
A number of consultation events have been held in Stanley Village, Stanley Common and West Hallam.
Details of the consultation drop-in event in West Hallam on 18th July 2011, and subsequent proposals are detailed below.
Planning applications for the Waterloo proposals for affordable housing developments in Stanley Village and Stanley Common were submitted to the Council in December 2011. The applications can be found on http://planportal.erewash.gov.uk/PlanningLive/lg/GFPlanningWelcome.page (opens in a new window) under application references ERE/1111/0050 and ERE/1211/0001"
If you are in need of affordable housing, have a connection to one of the villages and are interested in renting or buying one of these properties when they are built, please see the Advice Note in the related documents below.
