Description of service
The Housing Options Team work on a daily basis to provide assistance to those in any form of housing need.
The Council is responsible for ensuring that a range of options are available to meet the housing needs of all Erewash residents. We also provide advice on accessing the private rented sector, mortgage rescue, low cost home ownership and social housing.
Finding a Home
If you need assistance with finding somewhere to live there are a range of options available to you which include:
- Social housing through the Home Options (opens in a new window) scheme
- Private rented housing and our Bond Guarantee Scheme
- Supported housing depending on your needs
- Shared housing
- Low cost home ownership
Keeping your Home
If you are finding it more and more difficult to keep your home, then we may be able to help with access to:
- Mortgage Rescue Scheme
- Money Advice
- Mediating with Landlords or mortgage lenders
- Talking to family and friends
- Homelessness services
Whatever the issues may be, 'don't ignore the problem'. It won't go away and the longer you leave it the worse it will get. Arrange an appointment with us as soon as you feel you are having any housing difficulties.
