Young Peoples Activities

We provide a number of services and activities throughout the year for young people, including annual events, fitness activities, exhibitions, and sports development.

In addition we offer a selection of visitor attractions, museums, parks and nature reserves for you to visit and enjoy.

Annual events

We organise a varied programme of events each year.

These events include:

Bold as Brass - series of brass band concerts held in parks and open spaces within Erewash
Ilkeston Charter Fair - fun fair held in Ilkeston town centre
Chestnut Fair - fun fair held in Long Eaton town centre
Bonfire and Firework Display - fantastic display of fireworks held at West Park, Long Eaton

Parks and nature reserves

We maintain over 260 hectares (650 acres) of parks and open spaces across the district. Totalling 101, these range from large urban parks, playing fields and play areas to local nature reserves which provide important habitats for a wide range of wildlife.
