Sports Development

Sports Development aims to provide sporting opportunities for all residents and visitors to Erewash. Whether you wish to participate or excel we will endeavour to work with partners to put in place structures that will enable you to reach your full potential. This will be achieved by creating and enhancing partnerships with a range of sporting providers.

What do we do?

Activities include:

Partnership Development including:

  • Erewash Community Sport Network
  • Erewash Disability Sport Group
  • Erewash Swimming Strategy Development

Developing Healthy Lifestyles including:

  • The innovative PACE (Physically Active Children in Erewash) Project
  • Erewash Health and Wellbeing Week

Sports Volunteer Development Programmes including:

  • The Volunteer Apprenticeship Scheme in Cotmanhay

Erewash Sporting Events including:

The Annual Erewash Sports Awards to raise the profile of local sporting talent and those people working to support sport in Erewash.

Providing Mobile Sports and Arts Activities (opens in a new window) to young people across Erewash including:

  • The Mobile Skateboard/BMX Facility, Mobile Climbing Wall, Mobile Sports and Arts activities

The Erewash Sport and Cultural Activities Directory to inform people of local sporting opportunities.

Funding Advice through a comprehensive Funding Booklet and one-to-one guidance.
