Country Walks

We greatly value the network of public paths and bridleways as an important leisure resource, and through our Footpath and Bridleway Initiative are undertaking the improvement, waymarking and promotion of these rights of way.
The countryside

Our Footpaths and Bridleways Initiative relies on our close co-operation with a range of partners, in particular:

Walking for health groups

There are several Walking for Health groups that meet within the borough.

These groups provide an ideal opportunity for you to improve your health.

Walking for health events are listed on the What's on in Erewash (opens in a new window) Calendar.

Family walks, challenge walks and circular country walks

A variety of leaflets are available detailing the wide range of country walks available in Erewash.

Leaflets are free and available from most public buildings and information points, alternatively contact us and we will send you a pack of leaflets.
