There are many museum/galleries or exhibitions going on in the Erewash area.

Museums

We take an active interest in promoting local history and local art within our museums and galleries.

We maintain Erewash Museum (opens in a new window) in Ilkeston, which holds a number of specific events exhibiting wide and varied collections of history.

Galleries

Long Eaton Town Hall has a temporary exhibition area open during council hours, which provides facilities for displaying a wide range of local and topical exhibitions.

The Howitt Bequest is a collection of paintings housed in Long Eaton Town Hall, available for viewing on special open days or by appointment.

The Beetroot Tree Gallery is an independently run gallery.

Situated in Draycott, the gallery offers a wide variety of art exhibitions, workshops and events for the local community.
