...driving for success
At any one time we will be involved in different types of consultation exercises with a variety of user groups. These may be to do with a proposed change to a service or just where managers feel that a part of our service needs to be looked at.
A wide variety of consultation methods are used. These range from postal and electronic surveys to the formation of focus/user groups.
One of the main methods we use is the Citizens Panel. This is a group of 1000 Erewash residents who volunteered to take part in regular surveys on different services.
The group is drawn from a representative sample of Erewash, reflecting the borough's diversity of age, gender, race and background. The results of these surveys are fed back into the service to form the basis for improvement and development.
For any further information on the Citizens Panel or consultation in general please call 0845 9072244 or email: consultation@erewash.gov.uk.
Another key area for consultation and community involvement are the Community Forums. Held regularly throughout the year in all the major areas of the borough, they provide an opportunity for residents to discuss matters of concern directly with community representatives such as the borough council, Derbyshire County Council and the Police.
For details of where and when your next local Community Forum is please call 0845 907 2244.
