Community safety

Erewash Community Safety Team is made up of a Community Safety Officer, Assistant Community Safety Officer, Partnership Police Sergeant, Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator, Partnership Analyst and a Domestic Violence Co-ordinator, with the responsibility of coordinating the delivery of the crime and disorder agenda in Erewash.

The team support crime and disorder by:

  • Developing a Strategic Assessment and a Partnership Plan, and implementing action plans under these to reduce crime and disorder in Erewash
  • Collecting and analysing information to ensure we understand crime and disorder patterns
  • Monitoring trends and reporting on progress 
  • Finding best practice and sharing good ideas.

From August 2007, the team has a new requirement to produce a Strategic Assessment and a Partnership Plan.
