If you or someone living in the property is disabled you may qualify for grant aid towards the cost of providing adaptations and facilities to enable the disabled person to continue to live there.
The maximum grant is normally £30,000. All grants are subject to a means test based upon income and savings.
The works eligible will be based upon assessment carried out by an Occupational Therapist from the Social Services Department of the Derbyshire Council Council. Please contact Call Derbyshire on 08456 058 058.
These grants are available throughout Erewash.
Who can apply?
You must either be the owner of the dwelling or be a tenant and be able to provide to the local authority the necessary 'owners certificate' or' tenants certificate.'
