‘Building Pride in Erewash’
Welcome to our new Corporate Plan 2008 – 2012. This Plan is based around the areas which you, our residents, have identified as important. It will enable the Council to prioritise the actions it needs to take to achieve our aims over the next few years. This plan also shows those targets we need to reach to deliver our vision - “To put Erewash on the map - a first class Borough in which people have pride and where they choose to live, work and play.”
This is our second Corporate Plan and we have included a report on the progress we have made. Building on the firm foundations of the last four years, we are determined to keep improving.
We acknowledge we are here to serve our residents and we will work with our partners to do all we can to make you proud to live in Erewash.

The Corporate Plan sets out our commitment to address the broader opportunities and challenges facing the borough over the next few years. We face many challenges through evolving national Government requirements, complex local issues, and the need to develop ever more efficient and effective services against tighter financial settlements.
We are committed to improving Erewash for all those who live, work and visit the Borough. This plan sets out how we will go about making the changes which you, the people of Erewash, have told us are important to you. It will help us to track our progress against the main priorities identified through wide-ranging consultation. It shows what we plan to do from now until 2012, what actions we will take and how we will know if we have been successful or not.
We can only achieve all of this with the help of many partners which includes all of you.
