The Rutland Wellness Centre is our brand new state-of-the-art 43 station gym. The equipment is laid out over two rooms and comprises of a cardiovascular room with an inbuilt entertainment TV system and a resistance room.
The cardiovascular room is comprised of all the latest equipment, including:
- 6 treadmills
- 4 rowers
- 4 upright bikes
- 2 recumbent bikes
- 2 upper body ergometers (arm only bike)
- 2 steppers
- 6 cross trainers (total body workout)
The resistance room contains an extensive selection of equipment that includes:
- Chest press
- Shoulder press
- Adductor (outer thigh)
- Abductor (inner thigh)
- Abdominal crunch
- Seated leg press
- Vertical pull down (upper back)
- Lower back
- Leg extension
- Seated leg curl
- Variable rehabilitation pulley (can be used for various body parts)
- Resistance 'cable jungle'
- 2 adjustable benches
- Full set of free weights
Wellness System
Installed throughout the Rutland Wellness Centre is the Wellness System, a personalised, interactive system that allows you to manage your workout.
All members will be given a personal key to the Wellness System. Your key contains your customised training programme which will guide you through your training session, just insert your key into the machine and your personal settings will automatically be displayed. While you work out on the machine, your key records and tracks your progress.
The system will show you calories burned, distance covered, intensity, weight lifted, duration and volume. You can even record and monitor heart rate or blood pressure over time.
Facilities
The Rutland Wellness Centre also includes shower facilities, toilets, lift, reception area, first aid facilities and vending services.
