Sport

We offer a variety of valued sport and recreation functions and facilities. Sport enables us to enhance the quality of life within our communities. Working in partnership with a range of local and national partners the aim is to increase participation in sport by providing development programmes which match the needs and aspirations of all sectors of the community.

We run five well equipped leisure centres, maintain dozens of sports pitches, organise a host of activities for all ages, and offer advice and support to local sports clubs.

The Sports section of the website provides information on coaching and management, sports and games, sports clubs, sports development, sports facilities, sports grants and development funds, and sports information and ticketing.  Click on the links in the left hand side menu to access these pages.
