Did you know?
Disposable nappies make up 5% of total household waste. One baby uses approximately 4000 disposable nappies from birth to potty which can fill 40 large wheelie bin bags. 8 million nappies are thrown away every day in the UK alone, which equates to 2.9 billion nappies per year going in to landfill!
Modern re-usable nappies have changed dramatically from the old fashioned towelling squares of bygone days, they are now brightly coloured with a range of finishes including fleece, their fit and performance is far better than it used to be and they help to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill whilst saving you money. By using real nappies you could save more then £500 when compared to keeping a baby in disposable nappies.
Real nappies are very gentle on your baby's skin, they contain no chemicals and are excellent for babies suffering from eczema or nappy rash. Real nappies are soft and fit your baby's shape, come in different sizes and colours and are easy to use. Modern real nappies fasten easily with Velcro or poppers, no more safety pins!
Biodegradable liners prevent nappies from getting messy and are easily flushed away. Nappies can also be reused for your next child. Nappies are washed at 60 degrees centigrade in your washing machine, no boiling is needed.
