Five-Year Housing Land Supply:

All Local Planning Authorities in England are now advised through Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing (Para. 60) that they must undertake work to establish whether or not a Five-Year Housing Land Supply exists in their area.

The Borough Council have now undertaken this particular piece of work, and its findings demonstrate that Erewash has a five-year supply of housing land within the Borough.

This exercise will be repeated at regular intervals through the lifespan of the Erewash Local Development Framework period (out to 2026) so that the Borough Council can actively plan, monitor and manage Housing Needs within Erewash ensuring that the Council can deliver a flexible supply of land for housing.
